Ouray Ice Fest at the Ouray Ice Park

Ouray Ice Fest is one of the world’s premier ice climbing event and has been  for over 7years.  This annual gathering is attended by ice climbers from around the world, as well as industry sponsors, inspiring speakers, and the world’s top exhibition climbers.

This is your chance to demo the latest climbing gear and fashions from the top names in the ice climbing gear world.  Sign up for a clinic to learn new techniques from the some of the best ice climbers in the world. Kids ages 8-17 are welcome to attend the Kid’s Climbing College. This free event held during the festival is designed to introduce kids to the fun of ice climbing. Other venues host activities like zip lines, ice carving, and great local food.

The highlight of the festival is the Elite Mixed Ice Climbing Competition where the top climbers challenge themselves on an ice climbing route devilishly designed by top climbers.

Of course, a festival is not complete without music, parties, and entertainment. All are available in Ouray. Movies, slide shows, parties take place all over town and all are open to the public. Choose your favorite way to spend the evening and enjoy a weekend devoted to Ice Climbing.
